Farming 13 Miles From Town
Find comfort in the cornfield. An anchor in agriculture and also the heart. Do not worry, come early summer the stalks will sprout again, the same way they have sprouted for centuries. Lush rows of dense, chalky, cattle corn. Sneak a kernel from the nearest stalk. Chew on it despite knowing feed corn is not palatable to most regular folk. Swim in the rich flavors of nostalgia and the peace of remembering some things never change. Cast your worries on the cornfield, she will listen. Because in the cornfield lives your sister, one of three.
